The only time my sister calls me is…. when she needs something. So one day I get this phone call, not because I was at the hospital nearing the end of my life but because she wanted a website. Well.. I was really living in Bangkok at the time and just needed some extra Baht so I guess it was something to do. I couldn’t walk through Gaysorn another time or else I would just die. So I designed this one sitting in the lobby of the Intercontinental right off the Chit Lom BTS exit.
Well Trina Schmidt is basiically like J-LO in Wedding Planner. She works with detail-oriented brides in the ever-so-rampant SUV-OC (that’s Orange County). We’re talkin about Crate & Barrell/Pottery Barn meets Nordstroms housewives that watch the same TV shows and all secretly want to be better that each other. Just my cup of Starbucks coffee.
So my sister is one of dem’.. but is a great stylist for sure and if any of the designs you like on my websites, etc.. they are influenced by her poofy hair-did in the Madonna era while she was doing drill team comps’ [to a Prince soundtrack while I was just a little kid growing up. She originally did the corporate thing until (like many others) decided to do something that really made her happy. I guess when she got married she just loved coordinating (or perhaps just was sooo picky about the details that she eventually took over the wedding planning herself).
Well anyways, she realized her true passion and started her own wedding consulting and planning businesss which has made numerous OC + LA brides very happy and thankful they hired her.
The website was designed from scratch using only flash. The direction had to fall in line to please and grab that OC Desperate Housewife's attention. Well it just had to look cute and so I tried my best using some images from some of her best photographers she recommends (like Amy Squires, she is sooo good).. while implementing a smooth motion creating a nice weddingesque romantic feel.
Believe me this is my sister and she is wayy picky when it comes to anything, so if you need a wedding planner you can trust in terms of style and direction... she's the one. If you end up hiring her and need to bargain her with some more childhood-dirt ammo...send me an email.
