About The Project

Studio 63 West is an LA-based company that specializes in capturing real images. Studio 63 West finds its niche market in the urban category and works with new and upcoming talent, some which have already broken-out in shows like America’s Next Top Model. Studio 63 West also has been hired across the ocean by Japanese magazines because of their blinging’ photographic collection of hot cars and spicy models.

The client described the site as “sleek” and “hi-end”. I believe the site is a simple presentation for his work and hopefully will help create more opportunities as a photographer in Los Angeles.

Services

- Redesigned the Studio 63 West logo.
- Improved the organization and presentation of information regarding the company, incorporating many ideas discussed with the client.
- Created a simple solution to the portfolio section where the client can actually manage and update content on their end. There were many different layouts for the presentation of his work that were discussed however the client preffered the most simplest and effective — placing them on a page so the user can just simply scroll to view. I thought it was too simple, but realized sometimes overdesign inhibits the actual content… so i think the portfolio section works out just as we had discussed.
